The Polestar 2 just got cheaper, undercutting the Tesla Model 3. With the Model 3 RWD now at €41,990, the Swedish marque is rolling out a limited batch of Polestar 2s with an €8,210 discount. That pulls the Standard range Single motor down to €39,990, making it the most affordable option in the segment through the end of 2025. In practice, it flips the usual price order and turns up the heat on the class leader.

The offer runs until December 31 and applies only to single-motor versions. Beyond the price cut, buyers can choose their paint color at no extra cost. The base setup pairs a 272-hp motor with a 70-kWh battery, rated for up to 554 km on the WLTP cycle. Step up to Long range for an 82-kWh pack, up to 421 hp, and as much as 659 km of range.

The model has also just been refreshed: a Snapdragon processor sharpens the infotainment, Bowers & Wilkins audio is now available, a new Dune paint shade joins the palette, and 20-inch forged wheels are offered. Plug & Charge support further streamlines charging. Taken together with the pricing move, the package looks especially compelling.
