Chinese brand AVATR, born from the partnership of Changan, Huawei, and CATL, has unveiled the new-generation 07 SUV. The model is slated to arrive in Europe in 2026 with both a pure electric setup and a range‑extender featuring a gasoline generator that brings total range up to 1,200 km.

The design follows a Future Elegance philosophy and features a signature HALO LED panel with 10,500 diodes spanning the entire front end. Measuring 4.82 m long, 1.98 m wide, and riding on a 2.94 m wheelbase, the 07 fits squarely into the D‑SUV segment. The illuminated fascia should make it instantly recognizable on the road.

The cabin leans into a premium feel: four displays, including a 35.4‑inch 4K panel, the HarmonyOS 4.0 system, seats with a zero‑gravity function and massage, plus a Britain Sound audio setup with 25 speakers. Driver assistance is handled by the ADS 3.0 suite with a 192‑line lidar rated for a 250 m range. On paper, the mix of big‑screen infotainment and robust sensor hardware reads like a technology showcase aimed at long‑haul comfort and confident assistance.

The powertrain lineup includes rear‑ and all‑wheel‑drive versions, with CATL LFP batteries offering up to 650 km of range. A range‑extender variant with a 52 kWh battery can cover more than 300 km on electric power alone and up to 1,200 km in total. This dual approach caters both to EV purists and to those who want long‑distance flexibility without frequent charging stops.

In China, prices start at 28,600 euros, and in Europe the model is expected to keep a competitive pricing edge despite potential tariffs. Overall, the AVATR 07 is expected to rank among the most technologically advanced entries in the premium electric SUV class.
