Rivian has shown that the electric pickup market has stepped into a new league. The updated R1T in Quad Motor Max Pack form delivers 1,025 hp and 1,198 Nm of torque, and those figures stop being brochure fodder when a roughly 7,000-pound truck sprints to 60 mph in just 2.6 seconds. In recent independent tests, the pickup covered the quarter mile in 10.6 seconds and crossed the line at 206 km/h — a result comparable to the Corvette E-Ray, one of the quickest American cars of recent years. At the same time, Rivian pulls away from the Tesla Cybertruck after 60 mph; by 70 it’s already ahead, and by 100 it’s nearly a second clear.Even the Porsche 911 GT3 RS, Ford Raptor R and Corvette Stingray lose out in straight-line acceleration, making this electric pickup one of the most unconventional machines in its class. The effect comes from four electric motors and a vast reserve of torque that arrives the instant you call for it.The R1T shows how quickly the 2025 market is evolving: weight no longer stands in the way of explosive performance, and electric drive lets a practical pickup edge into supercar territory.
