Nissan has expanded its new Leaf lineup with the stylish AUTECH B5 version, featuring a 55-kilowatt battery and priced at 6,167,200 yen. AUTECH traditionally focuses on premium quality and a sporty image, with its signature blue decor remaining a key element. The special Deep Ocean Blue/Super Black paint scheme has already been chosen by over 40% of buyers for other trim levels.

The Leaf AUTECH made a notable appearance at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2026, where the B7 version won an award in the custom car competition. The new B5 variant offers a more accessible option while retaining many distinctive features. Exterior highlights include exclusive protective panels with metal framing, AUTECH emblems, a darkened front grille, 19-inch wheels, and specially designed LED lighting.

Inside, the cabin features dark trim with blue stitching, AUTECH embroidery on the seats, an upgraded steering wheel, and enhanced door and panel finishes. The B5 trim is aimed at urban users, providing a more affordable alternative to the long-range B7 version while maintaining the premium character of the series.

Orders for the B5 are already being accepted in Japan, with the first deliveries set to begin in March.
