Opel has launched sales of the updated 2026 Astra in Spain, revealing prices and the full range of powertrains. First shown in Brussels, the update brings a redesigned exterior, upgraded electronics, and a broader lineup of ECO and CERO variants. The Astra is available in Hatchback and Sports Tourer body styles, with trim levels ranging from Basic Edition to Ultimate.

Standard equipment includes full LED lighting, a 10-inch digital instrument cluster, a matching multimedia display, climate control, e-Call, and advanced driver assistance systems. A key change for the new lineup is the complete elimination of manual transmissions: all versions come with an automatic gearbox.

The engine lineup covers both traditional and electrified options. The 1.5-liter diesel with 130 CV remains the base choice for those prioritizing fuel economy. The 1.2T MHEV mild hybrid, producing 145 horsepower, earns the coveted ECO badge. Above that sits a new plug-in hybrid with 195 horsepower and a 12.4 kWh battery, offering over 80 km of electric-only range. The electric version received the most significant updates, featuring a 58 kWh battery and a 115 kW (156 horsepower) motor, which deliver a WLTP range of up to 454 km.

Prices start at 29,554 euros for the hybrid version and rise to 42,204 euros for the electric Sports Tourer model. Overall, the 2026 Astra represents a crucial update for Opel in the compact segment, aiming to challenge both hybrids and new electric competitors.
