ARCFOX (Polar Fox) has released official images of its updated Alpha S5 sedan. The model has already been registered with China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, with the key update being the introduction of an extended-range version alongside the existing fully electric model.The refreshed Alpha S5 features a more modern design. The front end adopts a 'closed' grille style with slim, elongated headlights, C-shaped air intakes, and flat air vents. A more sculpted hood enhances the car's sporty appearance.A new green color has been added to the palette. The model measures 4820 (4886) x 1930 x 1480 mm with a wheelbase of 2900 mm, keeping it positioned in the midsize sedan segment. From the side, the car stands out with flush door handles, two-tone multi-spoke wheels, and contrasting bodywork. At the rear, the full-width taillights remain, complemented by an illuminated Polar Fox logo.The electric version offers single and dual-motor configurations. The base variant produces 252 horsepower and 320 Nm of torque, while the dual-motor setup delivers up to 530 hp and 690 Nm. Battery options include capacities of 64.8, 74.4, and 79.2 kWh, providing a CLTC-rated range from 560 to 708 km.The new extended-range version is equipped with a 1.5-liter range-extender engine generating 77 kW and an electric motor rated at 200 kW. Its 27.4 kWh battery allows for up to 175 km of pure electric driving.Overall, the updated Alpha S5 highlights the brand's effort to broaden its appeal by combining electric performance with greater versatility.
