Genesis, the premium automotive brand under Hyundai Motor Group, has announced its entry into the French market. This move marks another step in the brand's European expansion.

The brand began its European push in 2021, with vehicles now available in Germany, the UK, Switzerland, and Italy. Looking ahead, Genesis plans to continue growing, with launches in the Netherlands and Spain slated for the coming years.

In France, Genesis will offer only electric models. The initial lineup includes three vehicles: the compact premium crossover GV60, the flagship electric SUV Electrified GV70, and the executive sedan Electrified G80.

The first sales points will open this spring in Paris and Lille. Genesis also aims to gradually expand its service infrastructure, with plans to establish a full-service network across the country by the end of 2028.

For Genesis, the French market holds strategic importance in motorsport. In 2026, the Genesis Magma Racing team will debut in the FIA World Endurance Championship, competing with the GMR-001 hypercar, including at the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans race.

Technologies developed for this racing project are expected to eventually find their way into Genesis production vehicles.
