Some Ferrari dealers have begun replacing touch-sensitive controls on steering wheels with physical buttons. This upgrade is being offered to owners of the Purosangue and 12Cilindri models.

According to U.S. media reports, a dealer in Atlanta is offering to install a new steering wheel center module with traditional buttons. This replaces the haptic-feedback touch controls that had previously drawn criticism from customers.

The upgrade does not require replacing the entire steering wheel—only the center section needs to be swapped. The new module uses physical buttons for phone, cruise control, and navigation functions, while retaining the original engine start button.

Ferrari recently introduced a steering wheel with conventional buttons on the Amalfi Coupe, highlighting the return to familiar controls, including a large aluminum engine start button.

The shift to physical buttons responds to customer feedback about the inconvenience of using touch controls while driving. Dealers are now offering this interface update to make the newer models more driver-friendly.
