Genesis is continuing to develop its Magma performance sub-brand and is preparing one of its most powerful models yet. A pre-production GV60 Magma was recently spotted on California roads, with its official debut expected in 2026.

Specific Specifications: 641 HP and 3.4 Seconds

According to preliminary data, the GV60 Magma will deliver up to 641 horsepower in Boost mode and 583 Nm of torque. It should accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in about 3.4 seconds, with a top speed reaching 264 km/h.

The electric crossover is built on the E-GMP platform with an 84 kWh battery and an 800-volt architecture, enabling fast charging and high power output. In terms of specs, this puts the model on par with the performance versions of its rivals.

Revised Platform and Handling

Unlike the standard GV60, the Magma version features a significantly reworked chassis. Ground clearance is reduced by 20 mm, the track width is increased by 50 mm, and the suspension now has electronic control.

These changes aim not only to improve dynamics but also to enhance stability at high speeds. Genesis is betting on a blend of comfort and handling, rather than focusing solely on raw acceleration figures.

Limited Production and New Strategy

Genesis has confirmed that the GV60 Magma will be produced in limited numbers and sold only through select dealers. This makes the model a halo car, strengthening the brand's positioning in the premium segment.

In practice, the GV60 Magma serves as Genesis's answer to divisions like BMW M and Mercedes-AMG. However, instead of a purely track-focused character, Genesis is offering a more balanced proposition—a powerful yet comfortable electric vehicle.
