Bentley Motors has announced a recall of 44 Bentayga SUVs from the 2025 model year in the United States. The campaign is registered with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) under the number 26V181. Journalists from the publication SPEEDME.RU discovered the recall information in an open database.

The Reason for the Recall

The service campaign was initiated due to an error in tire labeling. The placard displaying tire size and recommended pressure information may contain incorrect data. This discrepancy means the vehicles do not comply with the federal safety standard FMVSS No. 110. In practice, using the wrong pressure or fitting unsuitable tires could compromise the vehicle's handling and increase the risk of an accident.

Which Models Are Affected

The recall affects 44 Bentley Bentayga SUVs from the 2025 model year, manufactured between September 28, 2024, and July 15, 2025. The defect stems from a configuration error in the production management system, which led to the wrong information placard being installed on vehicles of a particular specification.

How the Defect Will Be Fixed

Authorized Bentley dealers will replace the placard with one showing the correct tire size and pressure data free of charge. The procedure will take about 30 minutes and will be performed at no cost to owners. Dealer notifications are scheduled for the end of April 2026, with owner notifications to follow in early May 2026.

Overall, this Bentley recall is precautionary and not related to any mechanical faults with the vehicle. Despite its limited scale, it involves the flagship Bentayga SUV and underscores the importance of precision in manufacturing processes, even in the ultra-premium automotive segment. This situation highlights Bentley's commitment to stringent safety standards and product quality control.
