Pricing for the refreshed 2026 Subaru Solterra EV starts at $38,495, and the update brings a host of meaningful upgrades over its predecessor. The lineup is straightforward: Premium at $38,495, Limited at $41,395, Limited XT at $42,895, and Touring XT at $45,555.

Every 2026 Solterra comes with standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and the Subaru EyeSight suite of driver-assist technologies, plus an all-new 14-inch Subaru multimedia system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It’s a cleaner, more modern cockpit recipe that should make everyday use simpler.

In the XT trims, more powerful motors on the front and rear axles deliver a combined 338 horsepower, with 0–100 km/h taking under 5 seconds. The Solterra Premium and Limited also step up in output versus last year’s model, offering a combined 233 horsepower. The gap in performance suggests the XT versions will feel distinctly more urgent, while the base duo keeps a balanced focus on efficiency and comfort.

Regardless of output, the 2026 Subaru Solterra EV uses a new 74.7 kWh lithium‑ion battery, with an estimated electric range of up to 467 km when paired with Subaru’s standard Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive. Battery preconditioning can ready the pack for optimal charging—especially in cold weather—at speeds up to 150 kW during DC fast charging. An upgraded 11 kW onboard charger also shortens at-home charging times compared with previous models, which is exactly the kind of everyday convenience owners appreciate.

Chassis tuning takes a clear step forward: the Solterra receives revised suspension and an electric power steering system, both calibrated to sharpen handling and response. A new all-wheel-drive control strategy anticipates load on the front and rear tires and optimizes power distribution to reduce body roll and pitching, aiming to make the car feel calmer and more precise over imperfect pavement.

All 2026 Solterra models feature a charging port compliant with the North American standard, opening access to more than 15,000 charging stations across the United States. Wider network reach won’t grab headlines like power or range, but it often matters most when planning real-world trips.
