Volkswagen has expanded its electric van lineup with the launch of the e-Caravelle Premium, designed as a roomier alternative to the ID. Buzz. The new model is already available in Spain, starting at €71,535.

The e-Caravelle Premium comes in two versions — short wheelbase (3.1 m) and long wheelbase (3.5 m) — both offering three rows of seats and space for eight passengers. Standard equipment includes IQ.LIGHT Matrix LED headlights, a digital instrument cluster, a 13-inch infotainment screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, dual-zone climate control, and a comprehensive suite of driver-assist systems such as adaptive cruise control and emergency braking.

Power comes from a rear-mounted electric motor producing 218 hp and 415 Nm, paired with a 64-kWh lithium-ion battery. The van accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.6 seconds, reaches a top speed of 160 km/h, and delivers a WLTP-certified range of 305 km. It also carries Spain’s «0 Emissions» label, granting owners extra mobility benefits in low-emission zones.

Positioned as the flagship of the lineup, the Volkswagen e-Caravelle Premium offers extra comfort and capacity, targeting buyers who find the ID. Buzz too compact.
