Chinese auto giant BYD is lining up a wave of October premieres as it refreshes its Dynasty lineup. A leaked internal presentation points to several new and updated models on the way, including the Tang L, Song L DM-i, Song Pro DM-i, and Xia Pro.

On October 9, the BYD Tang L is slated to launch in a six-seat configuration—the brand’s first 2+2+2 layout—with upgraded second-row chairs styled after aircraft seats. The model targets family buyers who want extra comfort without crossing over into minivan territory. The formula looks straightforward and timely, especially for those who value second-row space.

October 16 will see the market debuts of the Song L DM-i and Song Pro DM-i, each fitted with improved hybrid systems. The Song L DM-i’s electric-only range rises to up to 200 km, while the Song Pro DM-i offers up to 130 km. Both crossovers also adopt a column-mounted gear selector and add 50-watt wireless charging. Small tweaks, but the kind that tend to make daily use easier.

Toward the end of the month, the Han L will arrive in a new Dark Basalt Gray finish, and on October 23 BYD will unveil the refreshed Xia Pro alongside the hybrid Xia Pro DM-i. These versions add lidar and support for the urban NOA autopilot, and their electric-only range increases to 160 km. The tech mix hints at an effort to bring advanced driver assistance into more accessible trims.

BYD continues to strengthen its position in the premium hybrid and EV segments, steadily expanding the Dynasty lineup with new technologies and configuration options. The cadence suggests a focus on practical gains that matter in everyday use.
