2027 Kia Seltos: price, specs and hybrid release date

The redesigned 2027 Kia Seltos borrows its boxy look from the Telluride, grows its wheelbase and cargo space, and gains a first-ever hybrid with e-AWD. Gas models start at $24,990.

Kia has unveiled the second-generation Seltos for the US market. The 2027 model year crossover gets a boxier body styled after the larger Telluride, a longer wheelbase and an expanded features list. Gas versions are already on sale, with the hybrid arriving later in 2026 — as promised at the New York debut.

The wheelbase grew by about 61 mm, pushing second-row legroom to 991 mm. Maximum cargo volume with the rear seats folded reaches around 1,818 liters. Ground clearance, depending on trim, reaches 206 mm. New options include flush door handles, a panoramic sunroof and wheels up to 19 inches.

Standard equipment includes two 12.3-inch displays. A separate 5-inch climate display is available as an option, bringing the combined diagonal of all three panels to nearly 30 inches. The infotainment system supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, over-the-air updates and streaming services. Video playback is available only when the manufacturer’s safety conditions are met.

The base naturally aspirated 2.0-liter engine pairs with a CVT and either front- or all-wheel drive. The 1.6-liter turbo makes 190 hp, works with an eight-speed automatic and standard AWD. For the first time, the Seltos will get a hybrid built around a 1.6-liter engine and a six-speed dual-clutch transmission. An electric all-wheel-drive system, e-AWD, is also planned for it, but power, fuel economy and pricing haven’t been disclosed yet.

Pricing for the Seltos LX starts at $24,990. The EX trim is priced from $30,090, while the turbocharged X–Line SX starts at $32,790. All prices exclude mandatory dealer and destination fees.
