Hyundai IONIQ 6 N Nürburgring N Taxi: Price, Range and Specs

Hyundai has added the electric IONIQ 6 N to its N Taxi fleet on the Nürburgring Nordschleife. Passengers can now cover the 20.832 km of the “Green Hell” in roughly 8–10 minutes: a seat for one costs €139, for two it’s €179, and a ride for three comes to €199. The newer sedan is priced exactly the same as the IONIQ 5 N. These terms are already listed on the official Hyundai Driving Experience website.

The IONIQ 6 N joined the program on August 7. Professional drivers are behind the wheel of the N Taxi, with room for up to three passengers. Runs take place mostly on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. The minimum age to participate is 14, and there’s a 120 kg weight limit — a similar ride-along experience Genesis offers in a 650-hp electric SUV.

For Hyundai, this isn’t just one electric car swapped for another. The IONIQ 6 N shares the same 84 kWh battery and 609 hp base output with the IONIQ 5 N, but the sedan’s body is noticeably more aerodynamically efficient. Hyundai claims a drag coefficient of 0.27, consumption of 18.7 kWh/100 km and up to 487 km of WLTP range. The IONIQ 5 N’s N Taxi page lists 21.2 kWh/100 km and up to 448 km.

The IONIQ 6 N sprints to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds with N Grin Boost engaged and tops out at 257 km/h. What matters more for a passenger lap is different: the lower body, reworked suspension and aerodynamics should shine especially on the Nordschleife’s faster sections, though Hyundai hasn’t published an official comparative lap time against the IONIQ 5 N.

The IONIQ 6 N itself starts at €75,900 in Germany. That makes the N Taxi a way to sample the character of one of Hyundai’s most powerful production cars on its home track for a small fraction of the car’s price — and there’s no need to buy a separate, pricier ticket just for the new sedan.
