Polish studio Carlex Design has unveiled a new project—the Mercedes-AMG G 63 Havana Vintage. Following the striking Himalaya Diamond, the tuner once again turned to the legendary G-Wagen, shaping it into something that feels like a collectible work of automotive art.The name Havana Vintage is no accident: the cabin is finished in warm brown tones that evoke the mood of Havana and the aroma of Cuban cigars. Soft leather, textiles, and metal accents play off each other, while discreet Carlex emblems underscore the exclusivity. The interior radiates both luxury and ease, with a lounge-like calm that still respects the G 63’s rugged character—very much the Polish atelier’s signature, long associated with impeccable taste.Outside, the G 63 wears a two-tone finish—silver on top and olive below—split by a fine silver stripe and complemented by chrome details. Even the spare-wheel cover and bumpers channel a retro-luxe vibe, recalling Maybach variants. The exhaust setup has been reworked too: now three tips on each side with a smaller diameter, a detail that adds character without shouting. The hardware remains untouched: the 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 delivers 577 hp and 850 Nm, sending the SUV to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds. Yet with the Havana Vintage, it’s the ambience more than the numbers that defines the experience—an exercise in style that invites unhurried drives and long, appreciative glances.
