2027 Dodge Charger Super Bee: price, specs and 0-60 time

Plus 50 hp and minus 0.3 seconds to 60 — that’s how Dodge set the new Charger Super Bee apart from the 550-hp Scat Pack. Dodge had already teased the Super Bee’s return with a swarm of bees on social media earlier. The revived 2027 model year car gets a 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline-six Hurricane engine: output climbs to 600 horsepower, with torque around 531 lb-ft (720 Nm). It sprints to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds and clears the quarter mile in 11.8 seconds.

The gains didn’t come from a software tune alone. Dodge reworked the intake, exhaust, intercooler and cooling system. Boost pressure now reaches 30 psi, and a larger Garrett turbocharger was added.

The transmission is an eight-speed automatic TorqueFlite 880RE, with all-wheel drive standard. Drivers can disconnect the front axle on the fly and switch the car into rear-wheel-drive mode. Super Bee adds dedicated Track and Drag modes, a Torque Reserve function that pre-builds boost pressure, and Race Prep, tuned for the thermal state after hard runs.

The chassis is different from the regular Sixpack, too. It gets adaptive dual-valve dampers, stiffer springs and a rear stabilizer bar. The 20x11-inch wheels wear Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3 tires in 305/35 ZR20. Brembo brake discs measure about 16 inches (406 mm), with six-piston front calipers and four-piston rear calipers.

The contrast with the old Super Bee is stark. The 2023 version belonged to the farewell Charger series with the HEMI V8, while the new car carries the American muscle-car idea forward with a turbocharged inline-six instead. What’s more, the 600-hp Super Bee is now the most powerful gas-powered Charger of the current generation, though the electric Daytona Scat Pack, with 670 hp, remains more powerful still.

Dodge hasn’t revealed Super Bee pricing yet. For reference, the 2027 Charger Scat Pack Plus starts at $61,985 in the US. That means the real price gap between the 550-hp and 600-hp versions will be one of the key details of the next stage of the launch.

The Super Bee will first arrive as a Launch Edition, with three exterior colors, unique graphics and its own trim elements. Dodge says order timing and final pricing will be revealed later.
