Range Rover SV Pearl Luster: price, features and the one-of-one Bespoke commission

One car instead of a new production version — that’s increasingly how Range Rover courts the top of the luxury market. At Pebble Beach, the brand unveiled the SV Pearl Luster, a one-of-one commission: Range Rover describes a white pearlescent body, 23-inch bespoke wheels, an Orchid interior with mother-of-pearl accents, and a rear SV Signature Suite. Pricing hasn’t been announced.

The price benchmark alone tells the story. A standard Range Rover SV in the U.S. configurator starts at $219,500, while the SV Ultra starts at $252,800. Pearl Luster sits above that baseline if only because of its bespoke finish, but without an official price tag, naming a figure isn’t possible.

Bespoke has long meant more than a paint choice for Range Rover. Launched in its current form in 2023, the programme offers up to 391 interior material combinations and more than 230 colours, including a match-to-sample paint service. The brand has since moved on to full one-of-one projects: the SV Candeo received 18-karat gold detailing, while last year’s SV Asilomar was a single vehicle built specifically around the Monterey Bay palette.

Pearl Luster arrives at a moment when this strategy makes particular financial sense. In the first quarter of fiscal year 2027, JLR’s retail sales fell 15.3% year-on-year, with wholesale volumes down 9.2%. Meanwhile, Range Rover, Range Rover Sport and Defender accounted for 80.8% of wholesale volume, up from 77.2% a year earlier. The company has also named North America one of its key growth markets going forward.

So Pearl Luster isn’t just another unusually coloured SUV. Range Rover is steadily raising the value of every client at the top of the market: alongside the production SV at $219,500, one-of-one commissions now appear for which the configurator’s usual ceiling effectively disappears. The shift is already visible within the lineup itself, with the SV Ultra at $252,800 marking a new price tier for the flagship SUV when it entered the U.S. configurator earlier this year.

One more detail sets Pearl Luster apart — part of the proceeds from its sale will go to the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary. For the brand itself, something else matters more: Range Rover buyers are now offered not so much a rare specification as a vehicle built as a standalone collector’s item. The official Bespoke programme is built squarely around the one-of-one concept.
