Alfa Romeo Cuorerosso: premiere date and what is known about the concept

Two weeks before its premiere, Alfa Romeo's mysterious concept has received an official name — Cuorerosso, meaning Red Heart. Alfa Romeo confirmed that the car will be unveiled on October 12 at the Paris Motor Show and will remain on display through October 18.

The name brings together two ideas that Alfa Romeo uses to explain the car: the red color traditionally associated with the brand and the emotional connection between a car and its driver. The latest announcement, however, adds almost no technical detail. The platform, powertrain type, dimensions and specifications of Cuorerosso have still not been disclosed.

This marks an important change from the first concept announcement on SPEEDME dated September 17: at that time Alfa Romeo had not even revealed the name and described the car only as a manifesto for the future. The name is now confirmed, but there is still no basis for linking Cuorerosso to a new Giulia, Stelvio or any other specific production model.

The brand's product plan is developing separately. Alfa Romeo has already confirmed a new C-SUV on the STLA Medium architecture, with its world premiere planned for the fourth quarter of 2027. The company has not said that the Paris concept is a prototype of this or any other future production model. So on October 12, the main question will no longer be the Cuorerosso name, but whether the car previews real technical solutions for future production Alfa Romeos or remains primarily a design manifesto.
