Audi Q5L and A6L 2026 in China: prices, dimensions and engine specs

Ahead of the Chengdu Motor Show 2026, journalists spotted several new Audi Q5L and A6L units outside a hotel in Chengdu. The cars carried no regular license plates — instead, they wore branded “All New Audi Q5L” and “All New Audi A6L” placards, with staff passes still left on the windshields.

One black Audi Q5L featured an S line badge, darkened trim, and black wheels. Nearby stood several A6L units in at least two finishes — one with a chrome grille, another with a black one. Quattro badges were visible on the rear of both models. The lineup looked like a display fleet prepared for Audi’s exhibition or media program.

The show’s media day is set for August 21. The event runs through August 30 at the Western China International Expo City. Organizers expect nearly 120 brands and about 1,600 vehicles across 220,000 square meters.

Neither the Q5L nor the A6L will get a world premiere in Chengdu. The new-generation Q5L reached the Chinese market on January 15, while the A6L was unveiled the same day and went on sale on March 25. The show will serve as a major regional showcase for cars already in production.

The China-spec Q5L measures 4,842 mm in length with a 2,945 mm wheelbase — 125 mm longer than the global Audi Q5. The lineup includes versions of the 2.0-liter EA888 engine with 204 or 272 hp, a seven-speed S tronic gearbox, and quattro all-wheel drive. The most powerful variant accelerates to 100 km/h in 5.8 seconds, with claimed fuel consumption of 6.8–7.19 l/100 km. Prices range from 309,800 to 384,800 yuan, or roughly $43,600 to $54,200.

The Audi A6L stretches to 5,142 mm, with a wheelbase of 3,066 mm — about 143 mm longer than the global A6. Buyers can choose between 2.0T engines with 204 or 272 hp, or the carried-over 3.0 V6 producing 367 hp and 550 Nm of torque. The flagship version sprints to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds. Current Chinese pricing spans from 322,900 to 435,900 yuan, or roughly $45,500 to $61,400.

Judging by the cars spotted outside the hotel, Audi’s stand will showcase not just both key models, but also different exterior finishes for each.
