A new Stellantis trademark filing hints at Ram’s next move. On August 14, 2025, FCA US LLC registered the name «Copperline» with the USPTO under the category of passenger vehicles. While its exact use remains unclear, speculation points to a new Ram model or trim.
The most likely scenario is a new luxury-oriented trim for the 2026 Ram 1500, positioned just below the range-topping Tungsten. The metallic-inspired name fits Ram’s strategy, echoing the 2017 Copper Sport edition that featured exclusive Copper Pearl paint, copper interior accents, and special wheels. Copperline could reprise this theme while offering unique styling and possibly the return of a HEMI V8, since Tungsten is currently paired only with the Hurricane HO engine.
Alternatively, Copperline may be reserved for a SEMA showpiece under Mopar or Direct Connection — perhaps a restomod, overlanding concept, or even a Dodge Charger appearance package. Jeep or Chrysler links are less likely, though not impossible.
For now, Copperline remains just a trademark. But whether as a new Ram 1500 trim or a flashy show car, the copper-themed branding suggests Stellantis is preparing something eye-catching.
