Brabus has unveiled the extreme Invicto Mission VR6 Plus ERV off-roader, built on the Mercedes-Benz G 500. This is more than a tweaked G-Class: it’s an armored machine engineered to operate in the most dangerous environments, from military assignments to safeguarding high-profile passengers.

The model sits within the Invicto lineup, which also includes Pure and Luxury versions. All are equipped with the Invicto Shelter Cell—hot-formed steel panels combined with 3D-printed components. In ERV (Explosion Resistant Vehicle) specification, it is designed to withstand low-power blasts and automatic-weapons fire.

The cabin is set up with a mission-first brief: four individual seats with racing harnesses, an intercom, an emergency hatch, fire-suppression and air-filtration systems, plus night vision and auxiliary LED spotlights. It’s a purpose-built tool where survivability clearly takes precedence over speed.

A 416-hp V8 sits under the hood, paired with reinforced chassis components and brakes, and 20-inch wheels with run-flat tires. The vehicle weighs nearly four tons, and fuel consumption is 19 l/100 km—figures that reflect an armor-first philosophy rather than any intent to chase lap times.

The Invicto Mission VR6 Plus ERV costs €712,810 (about $830,000). That kind of money could buy roughly five standard G 550s, yet none of them is built to protect its occupants if a situation spirals out of control.
