Rolls-Royce has once again made it clear that, for this marque, personalization has no ceiling. This time the brand built a one-off for a wealthy client who loves vintage video games. The special edition, called Black Badge Ghost Gamer, pays homage to the 8-bit era.

From the outside, the sedan stands out with a two-tone finish in Salamanca Blue and Diamond Black, yet the signature coachline steals the spotlight. On the hand-painted pinstripe sit a pixelated Cheeky Alien and an 8-bit explosion made from 89 individual pixels, each measuring 3x3 mm. The look nods to the golden age of third-generation consoles and feels playful without tipping into parody.

Inside, the theme continues. Illuminated sills greet the owner with phrases like Level Up, Press Start and Insert Coin, while the seats carry Player 1–4 tags rendered in a classic arcade-style font. The rear tables are finished with metal inlays featuring the same alien, and between the seats appear pixel ships that recall Space Invaders. The nostalgia is handled with care, leaning crafted rather than kitsch.

The centerpiece is a unique Starlight Headliner: 80 battle cruisers, formed from fiber optics, simulate laser salvos thanks to special firmware. It is the kind of flourish that makes you linger before even starting the engine.

The mechanical side remains unchanged: under the hood is the marque’s 6.75-liter V12 with 591 hp and 900 Nm, allowing the Ghost Gamer to be not only a rolling art piece but also a genuinely powerful luxury machine. Sensibly, there was no urge to tamper with a powertrain that already fits the brief.
