Peugeot E-208 GTi German premiere 2026: specs, range and Gamescom dates

Peugeot chose a gaming expo rather than a motor show for the German premiere of the E-208 GTi. The 281 hp electric hot hatch will be shown from August 26 to 30 at Gamescom 2026 in Cologne — at the Rocket Beans TV stand in Hall 9.1 — Peugeot Deutschland reports.

The M4+ motor produces 207 kW, or 281 hp, and 345 Nm of torque. The sprint to 100 km/h takes 5.5 seconds, and top speed is limited to 180 km/h. The battery has a total capacity of 54 kWh, of which 51 kWh is usable. Range reaches 375 km on Hankook tyres and 352 km on the standard Michelin Pilot Sport 4S. Charging from 20 to 80% at 100 kW takes less than half an hour.

Peugeot Sport lowered the body by 25 mm, widened the track by 56 mm at the front and 28 mm at the rear, and fitted a mechanical limited-slip differential along with 355 mm front brake discs. The Vauxhall Corsa GSE gets exactly the same power, torque and acceleration figures, so the real-world difference between the sibling hot hatches will come down mainly to chassis tuning.

Two racing simulators with the Spa-Francorchamps track will be set up next to the car. The choice of Gamescom looks deliberate: Peugeot is testing the GTi badge's appeal among an audience that experiences speed not just behind the wheel, but through games too. Test drives are not on offer just yet — visitors get a close look at the car and virtual laps instead.
