At Milano AutoClassica, Maserati unveiled the MC20 Cielo Opera d’Arte—a unique roadster that comes across as a true art piece on wheels. The project took over a year to complete and doubles as a showcase for Fuoriserie, the brand’s personalization program handling bespoke commissions. Tarantas News reported the debut on November 21.

The entire body wears a complex hand-painted composition of 15 shades, with every color transition applied exclusively by hand. Select trim details are finished with laser engraving, and the wheels were developed specifically for this version—an approach that ties the visual theme together rather than chasing flashy add-ons.

Inside, the cabin channels classic Italian coachbuilding: Alcantara, leather, and carbon fiber are paired with laser-etched patterns and fully hand-done finishing. Despite the artistic brief, the mechanicals remain standard for the MC20, with the 3.0-liter Nettuno V6 under the hood—one of Maserati’s most technologically advanced engines. Keeping the powertrain stock feels intentional, letting the craftsmanship take center stage without distraction.

In parallel, the company announced Bottegafuoriserie, a unit created together with Alfa Romeo. The new center will focus on complex custom projects, restorations, and collaborations with collectors, offering a level of individualization the brand had not provided before. For enthusiasts, that points to a more seamless path from vision to truly tailored machines.
