German tuner Brabus has unveiled the Rocket GTS Mean Green, a radical take on the Mercedes-AMG SL 63 S E Performance. The former roadster is now a shooting brake, reimagined with a fully bespoke carbon body kit and a newly crafted rear section. The project wears the signature Mean Green finish with a glossy carbon effect and features the brand’s illuminated grille with a Brabus badge.

At its core, the Rocket GTS is based on the hybrid Mercedes-AMG SL 63 S E Performance. The stock 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 has been enlarged to 4.5 liters and paired with Brabus turbochargers and an additional control unit. Output climbs to 1,000 hp, with torque capped at 1,620 Nm. The car sprints to 97 km/h in 2.6 seconds and tops out at 317 km/h. On paper, the figures suggest the kind of surge that makes even seasoned performance cars feel tame.

The build adds an adjustable sports suspension, forged Monoblock P Platinum Edition wheels, and a cabin trimmed in leather and Alcantara with bespoke stitching. Despite the 2+2 layout and a larger cargo area, the Rocket GTS keeps the demeanor of a supercar. The conversion looks cohesive rather than showy, and the extended rear gives the SL a purposeful stance that suits its grand-touring brief. Pricing exceeds 1 million euros, placing it among the brand’s most expensive tuning projects.
