Cadillac ELR is one of the most unusual and scarce plug-in hybrids of the 2010s. Built on the Chevrolet Volt’s underpinnings but aimed squarely at the premium crowd, it was sold from 2013 to 2016 and totaled fewer than 3,000 units. One of them — a 2014 example showing 83,200 km — is now listed on the Cars&Bids platform with no reserve.

The car is in South Carolina, carries a clean history, and wears a Crystal Red exterior over a Cashmere leather interior. Equipment includes the Luxury Package with 20-inch wheels, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, and a Bose audio system. The specification suits the ELR’s sleek coupe profile and adds the right comfort tech for daily use.

Under the hood sits a hybrid setup pairing a 1.4-liter gasoline engine with an electric motor and a 16.5-kWh battery. Factory output is rated at 217 hp, with up to 60 km of electric-only range. The figures won’t startle in 2026, yet the blend of quiet EV running and gasoline backup still reads as a smart, relaxed formula.

Condition is described as driver-grade: moderate interior wear, a light smoke smell in the cabin, and exterior stone chips plus a crack in the grille. It’s an honest presentation that matches expectations for mileage and age.

Recent service includes an oil change in the summer of 2025, and the battery was addressed in 2023. At the time of writing, bidding stands at $7,500, and the auction ends on January 10, 2026. The no-reserve format and the model’s scarcity only add to the appeal.

Cadillac ELR remains an ambitious yet underrated hybrid that arrived a bit early for its own good. For shoppers curious about stepping into electrified modern classics without overspending, this is a rare opportunity.
