Genesis Motor North America has introduced the new Prestige Black series, which will now be offered not just in Korea but also in the U.S. and Canada. The special edition spans four models—the G80 and G90 sedans, plus the GV80 and GV80 Coupe SUVs—with a brief to deliver a sleek, head-turning “total black” look that telegraphs stature without shouting.Outside, the cars wear darkened bumpers, a gloss-black grille, shadowed badges, and an exclusive pattern for the radar module that serves the safety systems. The palette is pared back to two signature finishes: deep Vik Black, inspired by Iceland’s volcanic beaches, and refined Uyuni White, a nod to Bolivia’s salt flats. Depending on the model, black wheels range from 20 to 22 inches, completing a factory-fresh look that feels cohesive rather than aftermarket. The cabin follows an Obsidian Black theme with Nappa or semi-aniline Nappa leather and black ash trim. Darkened multimedia elements, unique screen animations, and special key fobs reinforce the sense of occasion, with subtle digital touches that make the trim feel distinct the moment the displays wake up.Pricing starts at $79,350 for the G80 Prestige Black and reaches $105,750 for the G90. The GV80 version begins at $83,250, while the GV80 Coupe starts at $89,400. Sales begin in late 2025, a move that further solidifies Genesis’s footing in the premium space while keeping the focus squarely on design-led desirability.
