Skoda is preparing to unveil an updated version of the Kushaq crossover, which will receive a planned facelift several years after its debut. The premiere is expected in January 2026.

Key Aspect

The first teaser only shows a darkened silhouette of the front end, but it confirms a full mid-cycle refresh. Skoda aims to maintain the Kushaq's position in one of the most competitive segments of the Indian market, where it rivals the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate, and several other models.

Technical and Market Details

Based on spy photos, the exterior changes will be targeted, primarily affecting the front and rear. Expect redesigned headlights, a larger radiator grille with slim LED DRLs, and new rear lights connected by a light bar.

Inside, the focus will be on features: a panoramic roof, updated multimedia, a digital instrument panel, and likely a segment-unique rear seat massage function. The addition of Level 2 ADAS and a 360-degree camera is also anticipated.

Mechanics

The technical aspects will largely remain unchanged, with the existing 1.0 and 1.5 TSI petrol turbo engines and transmissions. However, in the future, Skoda may introduce a localized 8-speed automatic for the 1.0 TSI version, which would improve ride smoothness and help meet upcoming environmental standards.

This update to the Kushaq reflects the brand's overall strategy of maintaining competitiveness through technology and features rather than radical design changes.
