The SAIC-GM joint venture has announced a partnership between Cadillac and AutoNavi, a Chinese company specializing in digital mobility and geolocation services. The collaboration aims to create a new travel ecosystem and offer Cadillac owners in China enhanced navigation capabilities.According to SAIC-GM, the popular AutoNavi application will soon be available in the brand's vehicles through their multimedia systems. The companies plan to leverage their expertise in smart mobility to develop new navigation scenarios and services for customers.A key component of this project is the second-generation Cadillac XT5. SAIC-GM notes that as part of promoting this model, a travel club was established to help popularize the intelligent all-wheel-drive system. The company reports that over the past year, XT5 owners in China have collectively traveled 376,027,539 kilometers across various regions of the country.Based on these journeys, Cadillac and AutoNavi have jointly developed a special route program for the Gaode Maps automotive application. Launch is scheduled for this year. Users will be offered travel guides and curated destination collections with recommended routes. Initially, this solution will only be available in China.
