Zeekr is expanding its lineup in Southeast Asia while exploring the possibility of bringing the new 007 GT to the Malaysian market. So far, the brand has only officially confirmed the flagship 9X, which is expected to arrive in the country by year-end. However, interest in the sporty shooting brake has been high during tests in Harbin.

Nevertheless, the launch of the 007 GT remains uncertain. A key requirement is the availability of a right-hand-drive version, and Zeekr is considering the model not just for Malaysia but for the entire RHD market. The company emphasizes that it doesn't want to dilute its lineup with too broad an offering and aims to introduce products strictly according to optimal timing.

The 007 GT debuted back in 2025 as a more dynamic and elongated variant of the 007 sedan, executed in the signature Hidden Energy concept. Built on the SEA architecture, it measures 4,864 mm in length and features an extended wheelbase of 2,925 mm, which provides a trunk capacity of 645 liters or up to 1,737 liters with the seats folded. The 800V electric platform offers two battery options: a 75 kWh LFP pack with a range of 650 km on the Chinese CLTC cycle and a 100 kWh NMC battery with a range of 825 km. Charging times are impressive: from 10 to 80%, it takes just 10.5 minutes for the LFP and 15 minutes for the larger battery.

Performance-wise, the model rivals supercars. The dual-motor AWD version delivers 646 hp and 710 Nm, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.95 seconds with a rolling start. The base rear-wheel-drive variant produces 421 hp and hits 100 km/h in 5.2 seconds. The suspension features double wishbones at the front and a multi-link setup at the rear, complemented by pneumatic elements and adaptive dampers. Safety and driver-assist systems are handled by the G-Pilot H7 suite, which includes two Nvidia Orin-X chips, a lidar, and a set of HD cameras.

The interior is rich with premium materials, including Nappa leather and massaging seats, while the multimedia system runs on a Qualcomm 8295 processor. Overall, the key distinction of this model remains its shooting brake body, which creates a rare balance of practicality and sporty silhouette for an EV.

If Zeekr decides to localize the RHD version, the 007 GT could appear in Malaysia at a price lower than the upcoming 7X, making it particularly appealing to enthusiasts.
