Mercedes-Benz has announced a recall campaign for 503 AMG E 53 vehicles produced between February 8, 2024, and February 25, 2025. These cars were sold globally, with only 27 located in Germany.

The recall stems from an incorrectly routed transmission line kit that does not meet specifications. This installation error could damage the line, potentially leading to an unexpected loss of vehicle traction in rare cases. It might also affect regenerative braking functions, which could impact emissions.

Mercedes-Benz emphasizes that no incidents involving vehicle damage or injuries related to this issue have been reported to date. As a precaution, dealers will inspect the routing of the transmission line kits and correct it if necessary to ensure safety and functionality.

Owners of affected vehicles will receive notifications with detailed information on required actions.
