Dacia is preparing the fourth generation of the Sandero, set to launch in 2027–2028 as the most significant update in the model's history. This European market bestseller will, for the first time, feature a fully electric version alongside hybrid variants.

The new generation will use the CMF-B architecture, unified with the AmpR Small electric platform. This approach enables the creation of the Sandero EV, positioning it above the Spring and the upcoming Evader. The electric version is expected to start below €20,000 before subsidies, allowing it to compete with models like the Citroen e-C3. LFP batteries are likely to be used.

Another key change involves the Stepway version becoming a standalone model. The new Stepway will evolve into a compact B-SUV, slotting between the Evader and Duster. It will share its platform and powertrains with the Sandero, including electric versions, and may eventually gain all-wheel drive with an additional motor on the rear axle.

Dacia's smaller models will see active electrification, while larger models like the Jogger, Duster, and Bigster will retain hybrid and gas powertrains for now. A fully electric Duster is not expected until the next decade.
