Denza Z 2026: price, range and specs of BYD's electric supercar

BYD's Denza Z is a new electric supercar revealed at Goodwood in Coupe, Spider and Racing forms, with 1604 PS and UK prices from £142,900. First deliveries are due by the end of 2026.

Denza, the premium brand within the BYD Group, is preparing a European launch for its Z supercar. The car was shown at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, and orders for the Coupe, Spider and Racing are already open in selected markets. First deliveries are expected before the end of 2026. UK prices have been confirmed: the Coupe costs £142,900, the Spider £159,900 and the Racing £172,900.

All three versions use the e3 platform and an electric layout with one motor at the front and two at the rear. Combined output is 1180 kW, or 1604 PS, and 1240 Nm. The Coupe reaches 100 km/h in 2.25 s and the Spider in 2.3 s, with both topping out at 300 km/h; on optional semi-slick tyres the Racing promises 1.96 s and 350 km/h.

The second-generation Blade battery has a capacity of 76 kWh and is integrated using the Cell-to-Body approach. The claimed range is 410 km for the Coupe, 400 km for the Spider and 380 km for the Racing. According to Denza, fast charging takes the battery from 10 to 70% in five minutes and from 10 to 97% in nine minutes, at a peak of up to 1500 kW.

The chassis gets DiSus-M magnetorheological dampers, carbon-ceramic brakes and active torque distribution. For the track there is a Boost mode, launch control, a drift setting and telemetry logging to USB. Denza is also preparing a Special Edition of around 2000 PS, which this autumn is set to attempt a lap time at the Nürburgring.
