VW ID. Polo Trend 2026: Price, Range and 37-kWh Battery Specs

Volkswagen has added a base Trend version to the ID. Polo lineup, priced from €24,995. Orders are now open in Germany. The pricier Life and Style trims are also available with the new battery, starting at €29,195.

The lithium iron phosphate battery has a usable capacity of 37 kWh and delivers up to 334 km on the WLTP cycle. Buyers can choose between front-wheel-drive outputs of 85 and 99 kW — 116 and 135 PS.

DC charging power is capped at 90 kW, but the smaller capacity means a 10–80% top-up takes only about 23 minutes. Rated consumption for the base ID. Polo runs from 13.3 to 14.8 kWh per 100 km. Real-world winter range and charging speed will depend on temperature, route and how warm the battery already is.

Compared with the current Life version and its 52 kWh battery, the entry-level car saves €8,800: that version starts at €33,795. For the extra money, buyers get a 211 PS motor, up to 454 km of range and charging at up to 105 kW. The range gap reaches 120 km, so the smaller battery makes more sense for city driving and regular home charging, while the bigger one suits frequent long trips better.

Even the base Trend comes with a 10-inch digital cockpit, a 13-inch infotainment display, automatic climate control, LED headlights, blind spot monitoring and lane-keeping assist. A rear-view camera, adaptive cruise control, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are already standard on the Life trim.
