Fiat Fastback 2027: Brazil Prices, New Trims and Engine Changes

Fiat's 2027 Fastback update trims the 1.0 turbo to 116 hp across the board, adds Smart Drive and BlackMotion trims, and drops the 1.3-liter Limited Edition, with prices from 119,990 reais.

Fiat has reworked the Fastback for the 2027 model year: down as much as 14 hp on the base engine, but with two new trims and one 1.3-liter version dropped from the lineup. In Brazil, the range now starts at 119,990 reais and spans six trims — T200, Smart Drive, BlackMotion, Audace MHEV, Impetus MHEV and Abarth. Sales of the main lineup began on August 20, with BlackMotion following in September.

The headline addition is Smart Drive at 127,990 reais. It used to be an options package for the entry-level T200, but demand was strong enough that Fiat turned it into its own trim. On top of the standard 17-inch wheels, LED headlights, electronic parking brake and 8.4-inch infotainment screen, it adds a rearview camera, keyless entry, remote start and wireless charging. BlackMotion costs just 1,990 reais more — 129,980 reais — and leans mainly on black trim, a two-tone roof and a 10.1-inch screen.

Fiat doesn't highlight the technical change in its official release, but the 1.0 T200 now makes 116 hp regardless of fuel. The outgoing 2026 version was rated at 125 hp on gasoline and 130 hp on ethanol, meaning the loss is 9 and 14 hp respectively. The 2027 model's claimed 0–100 km/h time is 9.9 seconds, with a top speed of 189 km/h. The old version managed 9.4–9.5 seconds and up to 196 km/h.

The same 116-hp tune of the T200 already appeared on the Brazilian Jeep Avenger, where the same engine is paired with a 12-volt mild-hybrid system. Electrification on the Fastback still starts higher up: the Audace and Impetus keep their 12-volt MHEV setup. Their new prices are 168,490 and 174,490 reais.

The Limited Edition with the 1.3 T270 has also disappeared from the price list. That leaves the Abarth, at 184,490 reais, as the only way to get a four-cylinder turbo Fastback. It keeps 185 hp, 270 Nm of torque, a 6-speed automatic, a 0–100 km/h time of 7.6 seconds and a top speed of 220 km/h.

It's worth not confusing this car with the new global Fastback from the Grizzly family. The current update applies to the existing Brazilian SUV on its previous architecture; the global successor is a separate project expected to ride on a different platform with a broader range of powertrains.
