Audi Q9 (2026) UK Price and Specs: What the New Flagship SUV Costs

Audi has confirmed the UK price of its largest-ever production SUV: the new Q9 starts at £103,900 in Edition 1 trim, while the range-topping Vorsprung costs £113,250. Orders are open now, with the first cars expected to reach customers by the end of 2026.

The price gap to the smaller Q7 is substantial. Audi UK currently lists the Q7 from £81,665, which makes the Q9 £22,235 more expensive — a premium of roughly 27%. At the same time, only £4,405 separates it from the sportier SQ7, priced from £99,495, so the new flagship lands right at the top of Audi’s current SUV line-up.

There’s no engine choice at UK launch. Official specifications confirm a 3.0-litre V6 TDI producing 299hp (299PS) and 630Nm, paired with an MHEV plus mild-hybrid system, an eight-speed tiptronic gearbox and permanent quattro all-wheel drive. The electric assistance briefly adds up to 24hp and 370Nm of extra torque. The Q9 stretches to 5,310mm in length, with a 3,140mm wheelbase.

Seven seats come as standard, with a six-seat layout featuring two individual second-row chairs available as an alternative. Other standard features include adaptive air suspension, all-wheel steering, a panoramic roof spanning more than 1.5 square metres, and automatic doors. Vorsprung trim adds 23-inch wheels, Digital Matrix LED headlights, curved OLED tail lights and an extended suite of driver-assistance systems.

For comparison, the Q9 already launched in Germany from €108,400 with the same 299hp diesel. The UK reveal isn’t a second world premiere for the model — the new milestone here is simply the opening of UK order books and the confirmation of a local price. Audi UK is currently describing first deliveries as arriving by the end of the year, though British trade outlets are pointing to November.
