Mercedes-AMG CLA 45 4MATIC+ 2026 Price and Specs: Range, Charging and Power

The price without tax looks almost €13,000 more appealing, which is exactly where it's easy to get confused. Mercedes has officially opened orders for the new electric AMG CLA 45 4MATIC+: the saloon starts at €79,039 including VAT in Germany, while the Shooting Brake starts at €80,408. The difference between the two body styles is just €1,369. Delivery or factory pickup is billed separately.

This is a case where the acceleration figures need a footnote. Mercedes quotes 0–100 km/h in 2.7 seconds, but that result comes from a “1-foot rollout,” where the first 30.48 cm of the run don't count. Under the standard method, the manufacturer states 3.0 seconds. Three axial-flux electric motors — one at the front and two at the rear — produce up to 500 kW, or 680 hp, and 1,759 Nm.

The saloon promises more than 670 km WLTP, the Shooting Brake more than 640 km. The battery has a usable capacity of 94 kWh, the 800-volt system supports up to 330 kW, and charging from 10 to 80% takes 22 minutes. In ten minutes, Mercedes claims it can add up to 270 km of estimated range.

Before the official reveal, the numbers looked noticeably more modest: a July teaser for the AMG CLA hinted at around 500 hp. The production car ended up with 680 hp and later set what Mercedes calls its segment record on the Nordschleife — 7:32.070. The time was officially measured and notarized, but it's specifically a class result under the manufacturer's own classification, not an outright Nürburgring record.

Meanwhile, the new CLA platform's range is already producing interesting real-world results: the CLA 350 recently covered around 620 km in a highway test at 113 km/h. A similar check still has to be done for the CLA 45 — the extra 680 hp, wide tyres and active aerodynamics could noticeably change real-world efficiency compared with the rated 670 km.
