Leapmotor B05 2026 Price and Range in Austria: What the €26,490 Deal Actually Gets You

Leapmotor says its B05 electric hatchback has now physically reached dealers, arriving at all 41 of the brand's outlets in Austria. This isn't the model's debut — European pre-orders opened back on April 23. The promotional starting price is €26,490 including VAT, or roughly $30,700 at current exchange rates. That figure already includes a €500 bonus.

The price comes with an important catch. The base B05 Life Pro gets a 56.2 kWh battery good for up to 401 km on the WLTP cycle. The maximum 482 km applies only to the Design Pro Max, which carries a 67.1 kWh pack. Austrian dealers currently list that version's promotional price at €30,490 — roughly $35,300.

The powertrain is identical across both versions: a rear-mounted electric motor produces 218 hp and 240 Nm of torque. The 0-100 km/h sprint takes 6.7 seconds. Up front is a McPherson strut setup, with a multi-link arrangement at the rear, and Leapmotor claims a 50:50 weight distribution. Chassis tuning for Europe was handled together with Stellantis engineers.

Fast-charging capability also differs between the two. The 56.2 kWh battery tops out at 156 kW, while the 67.1 kWh pack accepts up to 174 kW — a 30-80% charge takes roughly 16-18 minutes under favorable conditions. Standard equipment includes a 14.6-inch central display, seven airbags, and 21 driver-assistance systems.
