Tesla has released update 2025.32.300 for the Model Y L, adding Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and letting the electric crossover power external devices. The feature is already available in China and further cements the Model Y’s reputation as the brand’s most adaptable crossover.

V2L works via an “external discharge” adapter that Tesla plans to sell separately. With it, owners can run household appliances, power tools, or even top up other electric cars—an easy win for camping and outdoor trips where a reliable power source makes all the difference.

The update also brings a lower minimum temperature for Dog Mode, configurable low-battery alerts, and extra ways to personalize the Rave Cave mode. Tesla noted that availability varies by vehicle configuration and region. Practical touches like these make the car feel better tuned to daily life as well as weekend escapes.

Despite its high price, the Model Y L is quickly gaining traction in China: in September, more than 8,200 units were sold, placing it fourth among midsize SUVs. That ranking signals the formula is resonating with local buyers.

Tesla is turning its EVs into more than transportation—into mobile energy hubs. V2L reads as a step toward a future where electric cars deliver comfort not only on the road, but away from it too.
