BYD Da Han EV 2026: Chengdu Presale Prices, Range and Specs

The biggest unknown around the BYD Da Han disappeared on the first day of the Chengdu Auto Show. The flagship electric sedan turned out to be noticeably cheaper than the psychological 300,000-yuan mark: the rear-wheel-drive version with 1,008 km of range starts at 249,900 yuan, and even the 775-hp all-wheel-drive variant is priced at 299,900 yuan.
The lineup currently consists of three electric trims. The 1,008-km rear-wheel-drive LiDAR Premium costs 249,900 yuan, the LiDAR Flagship with the same claimed range costs 269,900 yuan, and the 880-km AWD LiDAR Flagship costs 299,900 yuan.

That’s a significant shift from the pre-launch estimates, when the press cited a roughly 300,000-yuan benchmark without a confirmed price. The entry-level car came in 50,100 yuan below that estimate.
The step from the base rear-wheel-drive version to the top all-wheel-drive trim costs exactly 50,000 yuan. In exchange, the maximum certified CLTC range drops from 1,008 to 880 km, but a front motor rated at 200 kW is added. Combined with the 370 kW rear unit, the system produces 570 kW, or about 775 hp. The all-wheel-drive Da Han hits 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and reaches a top speed of 270 km/h.

The car itself is genuinely huge: 5,256 mm long, 1,999 mm wide and 1,510 mm tall on a 3,130 mm wheelbase. The drag coefficient is 0.197. Yet the rear-steer wheels give this body an unexpectedly tight turning circle of just 4.95 meters. There’s hard data for the four-motor dynamics too: braking from 100 km/h takes 32.83 meters, and acceleration from 100 to 150 km/h takes 3.2 seconds.

BYD lists 15 standard-equipment items across the whole range. They include dual-chamber DiSus-A air suspension, the Flash Charging ultra-fast charging system, rear-wheel steering, and two front “zero-gravity” seats. All three versions also get a LiDAR sensor and the God’s Eye B assisted-driving suite, adjustable-tint glass, and a 31-speaker Devialet sound system. Battery capacity can reach up to 102.326 kWh.

The Da Han becomes a sedan in the flagship Dynasty 9 series, alongside the large Da Tang SUV. Demand for the SUV had already topped 100,000 pre-orders before its full launch. BYD is now effectively offering two vehicles at the same flagship tier, in two different body styles.
A plug-in hybrid version of the Da Han is also confirmed: it pairs a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with a 200 kW traction motor. However, on August 21 BYD opened presales for the EV only — pricing and the sales start date for the PHEV have not yet been announced.
