Toyota had barely wrapped the global premiere of the new Hilux when Thailand rolled out a splashy set of builds that underline just how far this pickup can go. Six distinct configurations took the stage—from hardcore off-road bruisers to city-ready show trucks. The first, styled in Gazoo Racing fashion, features a black grille, a red skid plate, flared arches, and signature red mud flaps. Toyota noted that a full GR Sport version is coming, with upgraded chassis hardware and a more potent engine.Just as striking was the Hilux prepared by Australian tuner ARB: a lift kit, reinforced bumper, auxiliary lighting, and a camping awning. The overlanding spec—with a roof tent, snorkel, winch, and LED light bar—comes across as an expedition-ready Hilux built for real adventures rather than parking-lot posing.Toyota also showed a sport-truck Hilux wrapped in yellow, dropped on lower suspension and fitted with uprated brakes. Despite the aggressive stance, it keeps the standard 2.8-liter diesel rated at 201 hp.Thailand has also opened sales of official accessories—from skid panels and sport bars to decorative trim pieces and floor mats. Judging by the buzz, the new Hilux looks set to become one of Asia’s favorite canvases for customization.
