Mahindra marked India’s Independence Day with the debut of three bold concepts that signal its next product wave. Leading the charge is the Vision T, a rugged evolution of the 2023 Thar.e concept. Built on the new nu_IQ modular architecture, compatible with both ICE and electric powertrains, the Vision T retains its boxy stance, short overhangs, flared arches, and tailgate-mounted spare wheel. The styling nods to icons like the Jeep Wrangler and Land Rover Defender, yet remains unmistakably Mahindra.
The Vision SXT, unveiled alongside, takes the Thar’s DNA and transforms it into a lifestyle pickup. Its compact load bed, high ground clearance, off-road tires, and wide arches make it ready for adventure. Despite its monocoque base, Mahindra promises proper all-wheel-drive capability, targeting buyers who want utility without sacrificing style.
Rounding out the trio is the Vision X, a sporty crossover that could join either the XUV or XEV lineup. Featuring a coupe-like roofline, high stance, and design cues shared with the electric XEV 9e, it blends athletic proportions with practicality.
Together, these concepts showcase Mahindra’s refreshed design language and underline its dual-track strategy for ICE and EV markets. With their advanced underpinnings and distinct personalities, production versions of the Vision T and SXT in particular look poised to become future bestsellers.
