At the Munich auto show, China’s XPeng unveiled the refreshed P7+ fastback, and it quickly stood out as one of the event’s headline EV debuts. The model keeps its athletic profile while adding upgraded tech, impressive figures, and business-class comfort.Aerodynamics is the headline act: the drag coefficient is just 0.206. That helps deliver up to 725 km of range on the CLTC cycle with average energy use of only 11.4 kWh per 100 km. Ten minutes on a fast charger can add roughly 300 km of driving. The body is made of aluminum with integrated front and rear castings—a rare move for this class. Structural strength is backed by steel rated up to 2000 MPa. XPeng says the P7+ meets double safety standards. The cabin is genuinely spacious: the company notes that with a C-segment footprint, the car offers D-segment room. The trunk holds 725 liters—enough for 33 suitcases—and expands to 2,221 liters with the rear seats folded, a figure out of reach for most rivals.Inside, the materials read premium: Nappa leather, a microfiber headliner, and ventilation, heating, and massage for every seat. A 2.1 m² panoramic roof heightens the sense of openness. The XOS infotainment suite serves both driver and passengers with a 15.6-inch central display, a 10.25-inch instrument panel, and a dedicated 8-inch screen for those in the back.XPeng describes the P7+ as a next-generation smart electric fastback. Its main rivals include the Tesla Model 3, the BYD Han, and European electric sedans. The newcomer stakes its appeal on tech, range, and everyday practicality, while offering more space and amenities than a typical business-class sedan. On paper, that balance looks well judged. In essence, the P7+ embodies a new wave of Chinese EVs that pair efficiency with a premium take on comfort. Europe gets another serious contender that clearly aims to establish itself in the market.
