Audi has reshaped the A5 lineup ahead of the 2026 model year, tweaking both prices and equipment. The entry-level Pro Line is up by 500 euros and now starts at 57,990 euros, while higher trims have become more affordable. The Advanced Edition has been dropped altogether.

In several EU markets, the A5 is offered exclusively as a plug-in hybrid with either 299 or 367 hp. The range now consists of Pro Line, S Edition, and S Edition Competition. The latter, paired with a 270 kW powertrain, is now 4,000 euros cheaper. The Avant body style follows the same script.

One of the headline changes is a new steering wheel with physical buttons replacing touch-sensitive pads. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are more deeply integrated, and the front passenger can mirror a smartphone to their display. The suite of driver assists has been expanded, with Digital Key and Keyless Entry now included as standard. The return to real buttons feels like a welcome course correction: tactile controls tend to work better in daily use than glossy touch sliders.

Audi also introduces a new Premium package priced at 1,490 euros. It brings an S line interior, sport seats, and power adjustment with memory — a neat way to add desirable kit without jumping to a higher trim.

Frequent revisions to trims and pricing have made the used A5 market trickier to navigate. At the moment, the minimum price for a 2024 car with a mild-hybrid setup is 45,950 euros. The updated model effectively falls into the 2026 model-year category, a detail worth keeping in mind when comparing listings.
