China’s Leapmotor has unveiled a new compact electric crossover, the A10—the first model on its global A-platform. In overseas markets, it will be promoted as the B03X. The positioning is ambitious: a smart, premium, long-range SUV for drivers who want to switch to an EV without feeling that the compact segment inevitably means compromising on space and technology. In size, the A10 stays city-friendly: length just over 4.2 meters, width about 1.8, height around 1.6, and a wheelbase of more than 2.6. The aim is to combine a grown-up seating position and SUV feel with the ease of urban maneuvering. The technical focus leans digital: Leap’s modern architecture, advanced door-to-door driver assistance, an AI-driven cockpit, and regular OTA updates throughout the car’s life cycle.Range is handled by a high-density LFP battery, with up to 500 km claimed under China’s CLTC cycle. The design, too, is tailored for export: six globally oriented colors, 18-inch wheels, semi-flush door handles, a floating roof, and a recognizable smile-like lighting signature. The target audience is clear: pragmatic owners seeking an attainable yet upmarket-feeling second city car, and first-time EV adopters moving from compact ICE models without giving up safety, space, or smart features.
