At Monterey Car Week, an Aston Martin Valkyrie Spider covered in over 300,000 rhinestones stole the spotlight. Ordered by collector «Supercar Ron» and executed by fleet manager Tace Anderson, the project began with a wrap by Young Film & Finish, followed by eight days of meticulous hand application by Crystal Ninja’s team of 12, totaling around 1,500 labor hours.
The sparkling treatment covers the body, aerodynamic elements, intakes, and even parts of the steering wheel. The rhinestones add roughly 35 pounds, but with 1,160 hp from its 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 hybrid, performance losses will be negligible—though aerodynamic efficiency has certainly taken a hit.
While the dazzling finish protects the paint, it’s expected to shed some crystals during the event. Still, the car’s viral impact is undeniable, setting a new benchmark for attention-grabbing automotive showpieces.
