Genesis launches the refreshed 2026 G80 in Korea, adding a Black edition, simpler option packs, more standard kit: Ergo Motion seats and ADAS, Korean pricing.

Genesis has officially launched the refreshed 2026 model-year G80 sedan in South Korea, alongside a special G80 Black edition. The update is evolutionary, centering on comfort, simpler configuration, and a more expressive premium image.

One of the key changes is the broader roster of standard equipment. The driver’s Ergo Motion seat, designed to reduce fatigue on long journeys, is now included as standard. The previously standalone antibacterial package has been reworked and folded into a more logical Convenience bundle, a sensible tweak that streamlines the options.

Genesis has also revised how option packs are structured. Instead of two “popular” bundles, there is now a single integrated package that combines Level 1 and Level 2 driver-assistance features along with an integrated dashcam—an approach that should make configuration more straightforward for buyers.

The G80’s exterior gets a few well-judged touches. Two new paint colors—Vatna Gray and Ceres Blue—join the palette, bringing the total to eight. Fresh 19-inch wheels add a sportier stance, and the rear now wears no badging beyond the Genesis logo, yielding a cleaner, more disciplined look that suits the car’s understated character.

The G80 Black leans into a fully blacked-out treatment and broader standard kit, underscoring status and restrained luxury without drawing undue attention.

In Korea, prices start at about 59.8 million won for the 2.5-liter turbo version and reach 86.7 million won for the G80 Black with the 3.5-liter engine.
