Chevrolet is finalizing preparations to launch the new 2027 Tracker MHEV in the Brazilian market. This is one of GM's first hybrid models with Flex-Fuel technology, designed specifically for a country where ethanol is widely used as standard fuel. Brazil remains the largest manufacturing and sales hub for the subcompact crossover, and it's here that the final validation phase of the new powertrain is taking place. The 2027 Tracker MHEV will feature a 48-volt mild hybrid system that complements the existing 1.0- and 1.2-liter three-cylinder engines. The electric motor will assist the internal combustion engine during high-load moments, reduce fuel consumption and emissions, and the system will include regenerative braking, start-stop, and intelligent battery charge management. This approach allows the model to be adapted to the real conditions of Brazil's major cities without altering its basic design and layout.Importantly, the powertrain module supports ethanol operation—a key requirement of the local market. The Tracker MHEV will become one of GM's first vehicles where hybrid and Flex-Fuel formats are combined into a single powertrain complex. Production of the new model will begin at the São Caetano do Sul plant, which will be the only facility manufacturing the hybrid variant for both the domestic market and Latin American export destinations. An official presentation is expected in the coming weeks. The model should expand the lineup and will likely become the standard engine for higher trim levels while maintaining the design of the current version.

The 2027 Tracker MHEV will feature a 48-volt mild hybrid system that complements the existing 1.0- and 1.2-liter three-cylinder engines. Importantly, the powertrain module supports ethanol operation—a key requirement of the local market.
