At the 2025 Chengdu Auto Show, Beijing Off-road unveiled a new iteration of its BJ30 Travel Edition crossover, now offered for the first time with a seven-seat layout. The model, long aimed at outdoor-focused buyers, now looks better suited to family trips as well. It feels like a logical expansion of its brief. On the outside, the newcomer hardly strays from the standard BJ30. The trademark tough look remains, with boxy proportions and a distinctive grille. Newly designed wheels freshen up the stance without disrupting the familiar silhouette. Dimensions are expected to mirror the current version: length 4,730 mm, width 1,910 mm, height 1,790 mm, and a 2,820 mm wheelbase. The major change is inside: the BJ30 is now available in a 7-seat configuration, expanding its usefulness and making it more versatile for families. That addition nudges it from a weekend escape vehicle toward a more convincing everyday hauler. No mechanical updates have been announced so far. The current BJ30 is offered with a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine paired with a seven-speed automated transmission, as well as a hybrid setup combining the same 1.5T with an electric motor. In the latter configuration, total output reaches a substantial 301 kW.Pricing for the standard BJ30 currently ranges from 99,900 to 136,900 yuan (about 1.22–1.54 million rubles), while prices for the new seven-seat version will be announced a bit later.
